The Dora Badollet Library (CCC Library) provides interlibrary loan services to citizens of Clatsop and Pacific counties who have a current CCC library card. The average time it takes to get a CCC library card is one week. People who have a current library card for any other library in either Clatsop or Pacific can fill out an interlibrary loan request at the same time as they apply for a CCC library card. CCC library cards are free.
The cost for each interlibrary loan request is $5. This fee is due (payable by check or cash) at the time of the request. This fee is not refundable if the CCC LRC cannot obtain the item. This fee does not cover any possible additional costs in borrowing material. The CCC Library loans materials to other requesting libraries at no charge. However, many libraries do not. Remember that an additional fee may incur while obtaining this material.
Patrons who lose or damage interlibrary loan materials will be charged according to the fees of the lending library.
Below are the Interlibrary Loan policies for some area libraries:
Astoria Public Library
Seaside Public Library
Timberland Regional Library
Request books, journal/magazine/newspaper articles, and audio-visual material. There's no garuantee that we can get everything that you request, but we'll try. So that we can maintain our sanity, however, keep your requests to a maximum of three per time. Thanks!
We send just about everything except items from our Reserve and Reference sections. We do limit requests to 3 containers or half a series of the audio-visual materials, like: VHS, DVDs, audiobooks, etc.
